Filter operating hours counter The number of hours the appliance has been in operation is stored in memory . The indicator lamp for the grease filter touch control will come on after 30 hours of operation. The grease filters must then be cleaned. Controls The controls may suf fer discolouration or damage if soiling is left on them for too long. Remove soiling straight away . Observe the General notes on cleaning earlier in this section. Do not use stainless steel cleaning agents on the controls. Grease filters Re-usable metal filters are fitted which remove solid particles (oil, dust, etc.)[...]

^ After cleaning, leave the filters to dry on an absorbent surface before replacing them. ^ When removing the filters for cleaning, also clean off any r esidues of oil or fat from the now accessible housing to prevent the risk of these catching fire. Always replace the char coal filter imme - diately if – the indicator lamp for the charcoal filter touch control lights up, or – if it is no longer effective in absorbing kitchen odours.
