13 2 Installation 2.1 Before Installing the SIMM for IP DS Installing the new SIMM for IPDS may restore the printer’s default m enu settings. Follow the instru ctions in the follow ing section to print out the current user default settings and installed printer options before installing the new SIMM for IPDS. Make sure to touch the printer’s m etal cabinet before handling the SIMM or wear an anti-static w rist strap. Follow these instructions to install the SIMM: 1. Unpack the SIMM f or IPDS.
