The tr ansition is smooth and flutter free because it occurs ov er a range of signal conditions , rather than at a minimum threshold. SCAN T uning In SCAN, the radio continuously tunes from one strong station to the ne xt until the SCAN is cancelled. See F in Figure 4 . Press and hold the MODE SEL switch UP or DN appro ximately 5 seconds to scan the band for strong station signals.
