For example if the room doesn’t get too warm, it will stay at the slowest speed. If the room temperature rises quickly , such as a door being opened, it will automatically go to the highest speed. The fan then cycles on for 2 minutes at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the the cooling system turns back on. Th e temperature will then increase by another 2 degrees F after an additio nal 30 minutes . This new temperature wi ll be maintain ed for 7 hours before it returns to the or- iginally s e l e c t e d temperature. 9 Fresh Air V ent Control The Fresh Air V ent allows the air conditioner to: 1. Recirculate inside air - V ent Closed (see Fig. 1) 2. Draw fresh air into the room - V ent Open (see Fig. 2) 3. 10 Clean your air conditioner occasionally to keep it looking new . Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning to prevent shock or fire hazards. Air Filter Cleaning The air filter should be checked at least once a month to see if cleaning is necessary . T rapped particles in the filter can build up and cause an accumulation of frost on the cooling coils. • Tilt the panel out by grasping the panel from both sides, just below the controls and the air directional louvers, and gently pull to release. Pivot the panel on its honges and remove the filter. • W ash the filter using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water . Rinse filter thoroughly . Gently shake excess water from the filter .
