5 MAP CARTRIDGE INST ALLA TION The AccuMap 12 uses IMS Smar tMap™ and WorldMap™, C-Map™, and Na vionics™ car tridges, all of which are packaged in a car tridge housing specifically designed f or Eagle mapping products. 6 REMO VING A CARTRIDGE If you ha ve difficulty remo ving a car tridge, use the back co ver as a re- mov al tool. Simply press one side of the cover against the ridge on the car tridge and gently push towards the bottom of the unit. Don’t use a corner of the cover - it could damage it. 30 W A YPOINT DA T AB ASE The AccuMap 12 gives y ou the capability of creating y our own database of locations, called “wa ypoints”.. Y ou can sav e your present position, cur- sor position, or enter a latitude/longitude and sa ve it as a wa ypoint. The AccuMap 12 can store up to 250 wa ypoints . 44 Units of Measure The AccuMap 12 can show its data in man y differ- ent f or mats. For e xample, distance can be dis- pla yed in statute miles (MI), nautical miles (NM), or kilometers (KM).
