1 1 I NTRODUCTION The Switch c an be ma naged through the Switch’s serial port, Telnet, or the Web-based management agent. The Comm and Line Interface (CLI) can be used to confi gure and ma nage the Switc h via the seri al port or Te lnet interface s. 4 2 U SING THE C ONSOLE CLI The DES-3550 supports a console m anagement interface that allows t he user to connect to the switch’s ma nagement age nt via a serial port and a t erminal or a computer runni ng a termi nal emula tion program.
