Daily Operations Before each day's use of the Jerome 631-X, perform the following steps to verify proper instrument operation: • Press the power ON button.  The digital meter displays 000.  (Disregard the digital meter's initia l momentary reading.)  Recharge or replace the batte ry pack if the LO BAT indi cator REMAINS ON. Flow System The Jerome 631-X's flow system is the crucial li nk between the sensor and the sample. For the instrument to perform correctly, the flow syst em must be properly m aintained. Internal Filters • Replace the internal filters after six (6) months of use, or as n eeded. • Press the power OFF button and unplug the power cord. • Remove the two (2) side screws from the inta ke end of the instrument and open the case. • Carefully disconnect the Tygon tubing from both ends of the filters and discard the old filters.
