7 IN STALLATI ON SELECTI NG A LOCATION You can set the TAD-1015’ s base on a flat surface (suc h as a d esk or counter top), or mount it on a wall plate or di rectly on the wall. 12 PREPARA TION CONNECTING AND CHARGING T HE BATTERY PACK The TAD-1015 comes with a recharg e- able nickel-cadmiu m battery pack in the handset. Before using your phone, you mus t connect the battery, then charge it for ab out 18 hours. 1. Wit h the hands et you set the day and t ime, the remote operation personal identification num - ber, record out going m essages and memos, turn the TAD on and of f, play messag es, and del ete message s. 20 SETTI NG TH E REMOTE OPERAT ION PIN The PIN (persona l identification num - ber) permits rem ote access to t he TAD. The PIN can be any number from 00 to 99. Note: The default setting is 00. 1.
