Circuit Description INTRODUCTION. The CPS2 000 power suppl y prov ides +/ -17V at 16 Amps, +8V at 1 .25 Am p, and + 48V at 0. 3 Amp . The main PCB (SC3 804) is in LH and RH halves . The LH PC B carrie s the +17V and +48V supplies. T he RH PCB carries the -17V and +8V supplies. A separate PCB (SC3817) carries the m ains voltage selector switch es at[...]

The 723 IC is powered through R11, which allows ripple filtering by C9, a nd voltage prote ction by DZ 1,2. T hese Zeners ar e no t req uired to redu ce ripp le; th eir fu nction is purely pr otectiv e, prev enting the 40V Vmax sp ec of the 723 being ex ceeded should the mains voltage rise above nominal.
