In this document I will re vie w the Hp Compaq 2230s notebook in terms of design and tech specs which will be totally opera ting sy stem e xclusi ve, then later on re view the sy stem coupled tog ether with a UNIX based operating sy stem using a hard disk install. Un fortunatel y , when booted into KDE4 no w nothing has c hanged. KDM and KDE4 are s till in 1 024x7 68 resolution with X org being in 1 280x800. The K desktop env ironment f or some reason has alw ay s seemed to not use Xo rg like the other desktop en vironments such as Gnome. For t his reason I am not sure if this is a KDE bug or if the DE can&a[...]

This brings us to the second step to t ry , which is installing the Gnome desktop envi ronment. This can be achie v ed by running: apt-g et install ubuntu-desktop.
