6 How low should you go? For most situations, yo u should install your Ski mmer transducer s o that its centerline is level wit h the bottom of th e boat hull. This varies from hull to hull, even from differe nt installat ions on the sam e hull. This is caused by differ ences in hull lay-up an d construction. 8 If the trans ducer's face isn't p arallel with the gr ound, remove th e transducer and ratc hets from the bracket. Plac e the ratchets into t he holes in the bracket with the let ter "B" aligned with the dot stamped in the bracket. Reassemble the transduc er and bracket and place them again st the transom.
